# Azure In-VPC / CloudPrem

> Deploy e6data inside your own Azure VNet on AKS - the end-to-end CloudPrem deployment, from infrastructure to your first query.

An **In-VPC** (CloudPrem) deployment runs the entire e6data Compute Plane inside **your own Azure VNet** on AKS. Compute and data stay in your subscription; the e6data Control Plane handles only admin operations, workspace management, access control, and observability. The workspace query endpoint is public by default and protected by JWT auth, or can be made private to your VNet.

<Info>
  **Who this is for:** your infrastructure / platform team - you need Azure admin access to deploy into your own VNet (creating the VNet, AKS cluster, identities, and storage). **Before you start:** the Azure CLI, `kubectl`, and Helm, and familiarity with AKS.
</Info>

<Info>
  For a fully managed alternative with no infrastructure to run, see [Azure Serverless](/platform/deploy/azure-serverless).
</Info>

## What you'll deploy

<Steps>
  <Step title="Review the architecture">
    See [Architecture](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/architecture) - what runs in your account vs. e6data's.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check prerequisites">
    See [Prerequisites](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/prerequisites) - required tools and onboarding items.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure registry, Kubernetes, and networking">
    Follow [Configure registry, Kubernetes, and networking](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/configure-registry-kubernetes-networking) - Azure infrastructure (VNet, AKS, identities, ADLS storage) and the base cluster components (Karpenter, cert-manager, operator, CRDs).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Deploy workspace and e6data">
    Follow [Deploy workspace and e6data](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/deploy-workspace) - the workspace namespace, TLS, identity, and components.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Register a catalog">
    See [Register a catalog](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/register-catalog) - connect your data.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a cluster">
    See [Create a cluster](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/create-cluster) - provision compute.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run your first query">
    See [Run your first query](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/run-first-query) - validate the install.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Ongoing operations are covered in [Component versions and operations](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/component-versions-and-operations), [Delete workspace](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/delete-workspace), and [Troubleshooting](/platform/deploy/azure-cloudprem/troubleshooting).
