# SOME

> Returns TRUE when any non-NULL Boolean input is TRUE; returns FALSE when all contributing inputs are FALSE.

NULL inputs are ignored. All-NULL groups return NULL.

## Syntax

### Aggregate

```sql theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
some([DISTINCT] condition)
```

## Arguments

| condition | BOOLEAN | Yes | Boolean inputs to combine. |

## Returns

* Type: BOOLEAN
* Possible values: TRUE, FALSE or NULL.
* NULL behavior: NULL inputs are ignored. All-NULL groups return NULL.
* Empty input: An empty global aggregate returns NULL.

## Usage notes

* Grouped SOME returns TRUE if any non-NULL input is TRUE.
* Deterministic: Boolean MIN/MAX is independent of input order.
* Supports DISTINCT: Duplicate Boolean inputs cannot change the aggregate result.
* SOME is available as a grouped aggregate. A window form is not supported.

## Examples

### Combine Boolean inputs

```sql theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
WITH t(condition) AS (VALUES (FALSE),(TRUE),(CAST(NULL AS BOOLEAN))) SELECT some(condition) AS result FROM t;
```

WITH t(condition) AS (VALUES (CAST(NULL AS BOOLEAN))) SELECT some(condition) AS result FROM t;

## Limitations

* This page documents the grouped aggregate. The quantified SOME comparison syntax is a separate SQL construct and is not an aggregate alias.
* SOME is available only as a grouped aggregate. A window form is not supported.
