# DAYOFWEEKISO

> DAYOFWEEKISO in Query Engine SQL.

## Syntax

DAYOFWEEKISO( \<date\_or\_timestamp\_expr> )

Day (number) of the week uses ISO semantics 1 to 7

```sql theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
> select DAYOFWEEKISO(tstamp) AS "DAYOFWEEKISO" from ( SELECT '2016-01-02T23:39:20.123-07:00'::TIMESTAMP AS tstamp)
6
