# MD5

## Syntax

MD5( \<string>)

Returns a 32-character hex-encoded string.

Support Datatype is String

```sql theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
> SELECT md5('e6data');
4243d9280fa40f9bfcfe376dfdff9234
