# Worker listener

> network.workers

ReferenceApplies to: Unified engine deployments

`[network.workers]`

`listen` is the controller address that accepts worker connections. Its default is `127.0.0.1:50061`.

`advertise` is the reachable URL supplied to workers. Its default is `http://127.0.0.1:50061`.

> **Example**
>
> In Kubernetes, use `listen = "0.0.0.0:50061"` and `advertise = "http://laminar-controller:50061"`. Expose that port on the controller Service.
