# JDBC

Connect to e6data with the JDBC driver - connection URL, credentials, and SQL clients that use it.

The e6data JDBC driver connects over gRPC to your workspace endpoint on port `443` (TLS). The cluster is selected by a connection property, so the host stays the same across all your clusters.

## Connection URL

jdbc:e6data://<HOST>:443/secure=true&cluster-name=<CLUSTER>&catalog=<CATALOG>&database=<SCHEMA>
```

Download the driver JAR and find the driver class in the Console under **Cluster → Connectivity**. For a TLS connectivity endpoint, also set `cluster-uuid=<uuid>`. The full parameter list is in [JDBC parameters](/query-engine/reference/connectivity-reference/jdbc-parameters.md).

## Use it

1. Add the e6data JDBC driver to your client or application.
2. Use the JDBC URL above with your email and token.
3. The driver also supports browser-based SAML SSO for interactive sign-in.
