JDBC parameters

Reference for the e6data JDBC connection URL and its parameters.

The e6data JDBC driver connects over gRPC to the workspace endpoint on port 443 (TLS). The cluster is selected by a connection parameter, so the host stays the same across all your clusters. For setup, see JDBC.

Connection URL

jdbc:e6data://<HOST>:443/secure=true&cluster-name=<CLUSTER>&catalog=<CATALOG>&database=<SCHEMA>

Parameters

Parameter	Required	Description
cluster-name	Yes	The cluster to route queries to.
catalog	Yes	The catalog to query.
database	Yes	The schema (database) within the catalog.
secure	Yes	true to use TLS (always on for authenticated clusters).
cluster-uuid	Conditional	Required when connecting through a TLS connectivity endpoint.
AUTO_RESUME	No	true to allow the first query to resume a suspended cluster.

The JDBC driver class and the driver download are shown in the Console under Cluster → Connectivity. The driver also supports browser-based SAML SSO for interactive use.
