Use a wait_for_input step to pause a run for a decision that isn’t an action approval.

Add the step

Configure the step with:
  • A prompt for the person.
  • The allowed options.
  • Routes for each choice, such as on_approve, on_defer and on_reject.
The run pauses and resumes from durable state after the person responds, so it can wait as long as needed.
